When the new party formed as an outcome of India Against Corruption movement, named as Aam Aadmi Party, we felt quite romantic about it. It was formed with a promise of getting India rid of corruption. There were a lot of expectations from it. People thought ultimately there will be a party which will hear common man instead of big corporates and industrialists. So, people have trusted a man called Arvind Kejriwal not once, but twice!
During the 2015 Delhi assembly election, The AAP in its manifesto gave several hawabaazi like providing free water, free WiFi, cutting the electricity Bill to half, opening more schools, colleges and hospitals. From aam aadmi, aam aurat to aam bacche there was something for everyone. All this was to lure voters. And, seriously all these promises were no less than winning a jackpot. So, they have voted AAP.
Without hesitation, I can say that the people of Delhi have trusted a wrong man. The so-called aam aadmi can't believe that a person of such high popularity and a Chief Minister uses foul language like saala and kamina. He is a dramebaaz but unlike other actors, he acts in the real world.
During his Swearing-in ceremony, Kejriwal sang the song “Insaan Ka Insaan Se Ho Bhaichaara”(nice song, not sung well though). If we listen to the lyrics, we find this is quite contrasting to the current situation in AAP. Can it be called Bhaichaara? If it can, then we have no Bhaichaara, only hatred.
The credibility of Kejriwal is in danger. We all are aware of his U-turns. But we still saw a good and honest man in him. That's why he is enjoying a thumping majority in the Delhi assembly which other parties can only just dream about.
Nice post. In two minds about Kejriwal. The man who has been elected as the CM of Delhi and had been entrusted as a caretaker of Delhi and considered responsible for bringing change out there is also the one who is unable to handle the conflicts and dramas within his party. How does one believe then that he will make Delhi prosper?
